The new Boggabri Hospital and Health Service was opened 
officially by the Minister for Health,  Craig Knowles, on 21 August 2002 

For Boggabri, this is the first time that Commonwealth funded residential aged care is available alongside the 
State funded hospital-based primary and community health services.

The Services at Boggabri include:

• A new hospital and health service

• 16 aged care accommodation places and associated facilities

• Four inpatient beds

• Emergency, day care, radiology and community health services

• And Ambulance Service.
  
  The new facility brings together multiple health services all under the one roof.
